At one point during RGW 3, Paul befriends a young girl named Blithe Holloway who is afraid of outer space. This scene hints that he is about to redeem himself in order to get closer with his son. A scene where they are shown floating around in zero gravity with their arms spread out also suggests this too since Paul has always wanted to do this before watching Neil Armstrong land on Moon with his father when he was younger according to Jack Black. The last shot shows them orbiting the earth before descending back down to Earth leaving the audience pondering if Paul has changed for good.

 On July 1, 2016, in the early morning hours, Gabby Hill-Carter, a 22 year old student at the University of Central Florida (UCF) was murdered outside of her apartment complex. She was killed by 24-year-old Robert German who is believed to have been stalking her for weeks prior to the night he followed her off campus and into her gated community where she lived with her twin sister Dominique.
